This Privacy Policy explains how Resize Image For handles information when you use the website, its browser-based image tools, and the Resize Image For browser extension.
Both products are designed as frontend-only utilities. The website resizes and exports inside the browser, while the extension can prepare selected files inside Instagram’s desktop Post flow.
How images are handled
When you choose an image, the website or extension reads the file locally so your browser can create previews or transformed files. Resize Image For does not receive source images or generated image pixels for processing.
- Browser APIs may create local previews, blobs, and object URLs.
- Website exports remain on your device unless you choose to share them. In the extension, Instagram receives a resulting file only through the ordinary upload flow you initiated.
- The app revokes object URLs when they are no longer needed to reduce browser memory use.
Information we do not collect
Resize Image For currently does not require user accounts, payment details, remote image storage, or an Instagram account connection to Resize Image For.
- We do not claim ownership of your uploaded images.
- We do not store image files in a remote media library.
- We do not send image pixels to third-party APIs for resizing, cropping, padding, or exporting. Instagram receives a file only when you continue its own upload flow.
Technical data
Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may receive basic request data needed to deliver the site, such as the requested URL, browser type, approximate request time, and IP address.
The extension stores its enabled setting plus the selected Fit background type and color in browser extension storage. It does not store source images, generated files, Instagram credentials, or account profiles.
Third-party services
The website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and page usage. The browser extension does not send product analytics, image events, or image pixels to Google Analytics.
Instagram is an independent third-party service. When you continue an Instagram upload, Instagram receives the selected original or locally transformed file under its own terms and privacy policy. Resize Image For is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta.
Your choices
You can stop using the website by closing the page, and you can disable or uninstall the extension at any time. You can delete downloaded output files from your device whenever you choose.
Your browser settings can clear website data and extension preferences. Disabling the extension leaves Instagram’s native upload behavior available.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes. When the policy changes, the updated date on this page should be revised.
